Used Pianos

If you want a piano and buying a new one is not feasible then buying a used or pre-owned piano can be an option.

Everyone knows how cheap it can be to buy used merchandise off an individual but in the case of used pianos...a cheaper price is not always the better deal. It all depends on what purpose you want a piano for. Are you wanting a musical instrument or just another piece of furniture?

If you are serious about making music with the piano you will need an instrument that works properly.

A person can research D.I.Y. information on buying a used piano and possibly learn enough to tell if the piano is just another piece of furniture. But even D.I.Y. advice recommends the use of a trained professional such as a tuner/technician somewhere along the process to evaluate the piano as in instrument. A Tuner/Technician is the only one with the technical skills to judge the working condition of an instrument. They also have the benefit of working on hundreds of pianos a year so they become familiar with the quality of many different makes and models.

A piano that does not work properly is just another piece of furniture to sit pictures and flowers on and any ole piano on craigslist would do just fine for that.

So how can you tell if a piano is in GOOD condition as an instrument?

That is where we come in. We take the guess work and risk out of purchasing a used piano. Our technician is a memeber of the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG) and the used pianos we sell have been thoroughly serviced and tuned to the standards the PTG puts forth. The easiest thing to do is buy from someone who gaureentees the piano is in proper working condition...like we do :) We've been doing this for nearly 40 years and wouldn't still be in business if we were selling bad pianos.
